After remaining in news in connection with the recent high-profile blackmailing & honeytrap case, Odia film producer Akshay Kumar Parija has found himself in a fix again after staff and actors of his production house accused him of non-payment of salary.

According to sources, the staff of Parija’s production house, artistes and technicians working in Shanti serial, have accused the film producer of not paying their dues.

Besides, they also staged a protest outside Parija’s production house located at Kateni area, on the outskirts of the capital city.

“The serial wound up on January 4 and he (Parija) should have cleared the dues on the same day. But he made excuses and kept on delaying. When we resisted, he said he will make the payments on March 25, but did not keep his words,” said an artist.

Meanwhile, Parija has refuted the allegations levelled against him and said they are baseless.

“Only six-seven persons were protesting outside the production house. The woman who was speaking to reporters said the due was not paid for the last two months. I have been in the industry for the last 13 years and produced over 12,000 episodes. No complaint was raised in these years. Even after losses in crores, I have been giving salaries to everyone. I am into television serial production for generating employment opportunities, not for business,” Parija clarified.
