Puri Srimandir
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri has introduced a set of stringent regulations for its staff, focusing on increasing accountability and efficiency.
The Puri Srimandir temple administration has directed all the officials and employees to submit declarations of their property by January 31, 2025. Failure to comply will face consequences such as withholding of annual salary increments, promotions, and financial awards.
During a recent administrative review, Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee revealed a comprehensive five-point action plan in an effort to enforce discipline and cultural integrity. This plan includes a prohibition on the consumption of paan, gutka, or any intoxicants during working hours.
Furthermore, performance reviews for senior officials will be conducted every third Friday of the month, ensuring continuous oversight. Another notable guideline mandates that all staff members wear traditional attire every Friday, apart from those in official uniforms. This rule aims to align the staff with the cultural ethos and norms of the temple.
In an effort to minimise distractions, the use of mobile phones within the temple premises has been restricted for officials and employees. These guidelines are set to cultivate a more active and accountable administration, Arabinda Padhee said.
