Gopal Das, the accused in the high profile Naba Das murder case underwent Narco test in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Saturday.
The test, also known as the ‘Truth serum test’ was performed at the Directorate of Forensic Science Lab (DFSL) in Gandhinagar.
As per reports, Gopal’s vitals were checked and blood pressure, sugar were monitored before taking him for the Narco test.
Sources said, Das remained unconscious for quite some time after the test.
During the Narco Test, a chemical loosely known as ‘Truth Serum’ is injected into the subject intravenously to let them slip into a sub-conscious state. After that the probe agency darts questions to get answers.
It is pertinent to mention here that Das underwent a polygraph test on Friday too.
As per the experts, the results of Polygraph and Narco tests hold little weight in the court of law.
With only two-days left in Gopal’s Crime Branch remand, it is yet to be known if he has revealed anything which can shed some light on the motive behind murdering Naba Das.
Naba Das was allegedly shot by Gopal near Gandhi Chhak at Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda district on January 29. As per reports, Das, who sustained serious injuries in the attack, was first rushed to Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital and then he was airlifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar where he succumbed to his injuries.
