Naba Das murder: Can comment only after probe concludes, says daughter Dipali

On being asked about the ongoing investigation into the brutal murder of her father and Odisha Health Minister Naba Das; the senior leader’s daughter, Dipali on Thursday said that it is too early to comment on the issue.

“The Crime Branch is investigating the case and after the agency gives its final report, we (family) will be able to say something,” said Dipali.

According to Dipali, her father was an influential leader and was loved by all, within his own and opposition parties. “They are expressing their opinion and they are emotions. Everybody has their own opinion in the world,” Dipali said.

The departed leader’s daughter further said, “Till a final conclusion is given by the Crime Branch, it will not be appropriate to comment on the matter.”

Opposition parties, including the BJP have launched a massive protest and are trying to corner the ruling-BJD by raking up the issue of deterioration in law and order following the murder of Naba Das.

During the party’s protest in front of Raj Bhavan over the deteriorating law and order situation in Odisha; BJP National Vice-President, Baijayant Panda on Thursday said, “Who shot the minister dead is one thing, but, who is the conspirator? Efforts are being made to suppress the motive behind the murder and no action is being taken to identify the real conspirators who had ordered to kill Naba Das.”
