Mystery shrouds death of Odia medical student at AIIMS Patna in Bihar
In a shocking incident, the body of an Odia medical student was found under suspicious circumstances at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna, on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Yadavendra Sahu, a first-year postgraduate student.
As per reports, Yadavendra hailed from Baidyakateni village under Nihalprasad police station in Dhenkanal district. His lifeless body was recovered from his hostel room.
However, the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, raising concerns and prompting a detailed investigation.
Authorities have stated that the exact cause and nature of the death will be determined following a post-mortem examination. After the post-mortem, the body will be sent to his native place in Odisha.

"Police received a call that the deceased was not opening his room in hostel number 5 since morning. His room was locked from the inside. Police immediately reached the spot, and other administrative officials were also called, and they broke into the room around 1 pm. The deceased was found lying on the bed. He was taken to the emergency ward where doctors declared him brought dead," said SDPO (Phulwarisharif-1) Sushil Kumar.
"No suicide note was found at the spot. The body has been sent for the post-mortem examination, and the exact cause of the incident can only be known from its report," he added.
