Neelambar is affectionately called the ‘Moustache Man’ by local residents. He engages in these feats amidst lively discussions and admiration from the community.

Unrivalled determination and power

While several people spend their evenings in leisure, for Neelambar, night-time activities showcase his unrivalled determination and power. Unlike many of his peers and youths of his age group, who may struggle with heavy lifting, he defies others’ expectations by moving vehicles, occasionally with a driver inside, with apparent ease.

Neelambar works as a migrant worker in another state, returning home for only two months each year. Yet, his reputation transcends his employment, as his unique performances at local markets and fairs earn him recognition. His community, including his supportive wife, views him as a symbol of resilience and strength.

Although his community celebrates his achievements, there is a growing sentiment that any governmental acknowledgement or financial support could further elevate his remarkable capabilities. Many believe that with such encouragement, Neelambar could gain broader recognition for his exceptional talent.

“I have been doing these rare feats such as pulling cars and motorcycles, lifting water-filled earthen pitchers, and lifting small children, etc, for more than ten years,” Neelambar lamented.
