Bhubaneswar: In an incredible feat, Odia boy Sanath Rath set a Guinness World Record by doing the longest tree pose (Brukhyasana).

Sanath achieved the rare feat by holding the pose for one hour 6 minute and 55 seconds.

Congratulatory messages and good wishes poured in from different quarters for Sanath for his rare record.

Sanath said that the purpose of the attempt is to promote Yoga as a way of living and celebrating life.

“Yoga, cycling and exercise are very important for youth. By pursuing these things, youth can remain fit and stress free,” he stated.

Earlier Sanath has also found his way into Limca Book of records with the largest collection of unique cycles.

“From my very childhood I have always cherished the dream of setting world records. Now I have a Guinness and Limca Book of world record. My dream has come true. I am feeling very satisfied,” he said.

Odisha-born Sanath is now working in a multinational company in Bangalore.
