Missing toddler Pihu’s mother, Monalisha Nayak has urged the Odisha CM to allow her to meet PM Narendra Modi, who is visiting Jajpur district tomorrow.

I will meet and request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a CBI probe into my daughter’s disappearance, said Monalisha.

“Last time when the Prime Minister visited Sambalpur, I tried to meet him regarding my daughter. But I was stopped by the police. This time, I am requesting the Chief Minister and the DGP not to stop me from meeting the PM,” said Monalisha.

“I will request him to direct a CBI probe into my daughter’s missing case,” she added.

On February 3, the mother of missing toddler Pihu was allegedly detained by Dhenkanal Police while she was on her way to Sambalpur to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a one-day visit to Odisha. She was detained at the Govindpur outpost for six hours.

It is pertinent to mention that Pihu had gone missing on August 8, 2020.  She was last seen playing on the village road. Though Monalisha staged protests several times and even approached the Orissa Human Rights Commission, it was of no use.

Even, the state government and police had assured to trace her daughter. She had written to the President of India through the District Collector seeking permission for euthanasia.

Earlier, she had urged the Odisha government to initiate a CBI investigation into the matter.
