Massive fire breaks out at OCA conference hall in Cuttack
A devastating fire broke out at the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Conference Hall in Cuttack on Saturday, reducing property and materials worth lakhs of rupees to ashes.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, the fire services department suspects it may have been triggered by an air conditioner short circuit.
As per reports, firefighters swiftly responded and managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing further damage. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident. The fire caused widespread panic among locals, though prompt action by the fire brigade helped avert a major disaster.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
"Upon being informed about the incident, a team from Cuttack Fire Station reached the spot immediately. After watching the situation, we called another team for support. The fire was controlled immediately. The heavy smoke was subsequently cleared," said Assistant Fire Officer Sanjeeb Behera.
"We are suspecting that the fire might have been triggered by an air conditioner short circuit," he added.
