Man alleges murder of ‘kidnapped’ minor daughter in Cuttack; probe launched

In a shocking incident, a family at Krushnaprasad under Cuttack’s Niali police limits has alleged that their minor daughter who was allegedly abducted four months back, was murdered on Tuesday night by the family of the abductor.

As per the allegations of the minor girl’s father Rohit Gochhayat, his daughter was killed and then burnt at Kothamula village under Niali Police limits by the family of one Pabina Behera who abducted her four months back.

“Pabina Behera’s family has killed my daughter and then burnt her body to erase evidence. I had appealed to the police many times to rescue my daughter following her abduction but they did not take any action. I want a death sentence for the criminals who killed my daughter,” said the bereaved father.

It is believed that the minor girl was kept in an unknown location following her abduction. She along with Behera returned to Kothamula a week back after which the girl had reportedly spoken to her father over the phone.

Behera’s family has been missing from the village since the last night after the death of the minor girl.

The police have launched a probe into the matter.
