Panchanan Jena, a migrant worker based in Goa, and Annapurna Patra, who relies on a wheelchair for mobility, have united in matrimony, demonstrating a deep commitment transcending life's challenges.

Panchanan's journey from friendship to marriage with Annapurna is anchored in their shared pledge of a bond that will last a ‘lifetime’.

Hailing from Praharajpur village, this inspiring tale illustrates love's triumph over adversity. Despite the physical hurdles faced by Annapurna, her engaging presence through her social media reels has touched many, including Panchanan. At the age of 25, the youth was drawn to Annapurna's university videos, where he found not only entertainment but a profound connection.

The bride shares her interesting 'love story'

“When I was studying in Jaleswar Women’s College and doing my graduation, I was making reels and posting them on my Instagram account. From there, the love affair between us had started. He had got impressed after seeing my videos,” Annapurna stated.

Resolute in his intentions, Panchanan declared his wish to marry Annapurna, fully cognizant of the realities of her disability. Their wedding was a celebration rooted in tradition.

Their union has been embraced by their families, who celebrate this pure and altruistic love story that stands as a beacon of hope in a rapidly changing society. This couple's narrative sends a powerful message about unconditional affection, where the heart's desires and true intent surpass any physical abilities.

“My daughter is differently-abled but the groom (Panchanan) and she fell in love with each other. Subsequently, we agreed for their marriage, when a proposal came from the groom’s family,” the bride’s mother, Manjulata Patra said to OTV.

“We, both the families, are immensely happy for the wedding,” Manjulata expressed.
