Kerala woman found dead in Berhampur lodge, boyfriend absconding 

A woman from Kerala was found dead in a lodge on Saturday evening in Baidyanathpur police station limits in Berhampur of Ganjam district. 

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained by the police.

According to sources, the victim checked in the lodge with her boyfriend on November 19. 
On Friday evening, a sanitation staffer knocked on the door of their room but did not get any response. Suspecting something wrong, the lodge owner informed the Baidyanathpur police. 

The police reached the spot and broke open the room. The police found the body of the woman lying in the room while her boyfriend was missing. 

“We are investigating the case from various angles. This evening, a dog squad along with a scientific team will go to the spot to conduct further investigation. We will send the body for autopsy,” said the IIC of Baidyanathpur police station.
