Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda appointed Consultative Committee member for Ministry of Finance
Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda has been appointed as a member of the consultative committee for the Union Ministry of Finance. He is among 14 Lok Sabha and 8 Rajya Sabha MPs selected for the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Finance constituted by the Government of India.
The Committee will be chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary.
Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Law and Justice and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Dr L Murugan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs have been selected as the Ex-officio Members of the Committee.
Meanwhile, the senior lawmaker has been visiting people affected by Cyclone Dana and engaging in relief and restoration work in Kendrapara district.
Braving heavy rainfall and gusty surface wind, the BJP leader made door-to-door visits and heard the woes of people, assuring them of all help. He also visited places where acres of standing crops were damaged due to the heavy rain triggered by Cyclone Dana.
On the other hand, he also has begun his duties as BJP’s election prabhari (in-charge) for Delhi.
