Odisha CM Majhi briefing to media in Ganjam
Ganjam district is poised for significant economic development, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announcing an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore in industrial ventures on Sunday. This initiative is expected to create over 1,00,000 jobs for young men and women in the region.
During his visit to the district, CM Majhi participated in prayers at Maa Budhi Thakurani Temple in Berhampur. He also attended the 100-year anniversary of Bhimpur government high school in Patrapur block as the main guest.
The CM promised to establish a model school in each panchayat of the district to enhance educational facilities, highlighting the need for modern and quality education. These schools aim to provide comprehensive educational growth.
Moreover, the CM has reaffirmed the State's commitment to industrial advancements in the district, targeting employment and economic prosperity through these investments.
“The maximum number of industries is to be set up in Ganjam, and for that, investments of more than Rs 1 lakh crore will be made in the district. This will provide employments to over a lakh of local youths. Apart from that, developments will be made in Agriculture and other sectors as well. Our relentless efforts are on to achieve this goal,” the CM said.
“Moreover, the district has a sugar mill. We have plans to enrich the region based on our ‘One District, One Product’ concept,” the CM stated while briefing mediapersons.
Notably, the CM was on a one-day official tour to the district.
