Taking to its X handle, the CMO wrote, “Barabati Stadium in Cuttack will host a one-day international cricket match between India and England on February 9. Officials from the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), including acting president Pankaj Mohanty and secretary Sanjay Behera, met the CM along with Angul MLA and member of the Apex Council Pratap Pradhan, secretary of Odisha Olympic Association Abhijit Pal, and former legislator Lalitendu Mahapatra. On this occasion, the CM bought the first match ticket.”

In a separate gesture, representatives from the cricket association paid a visit to Jagannath temple in Puri to extend invitations to the Holy Trinity for the impending match.

Worth mentioning, the ticket prices previously announced by OCA for the India-England ODI match had defeated the excitement of cricket lovers.

Cricket enthusiasts alleged they have to cough up an exorbitant price to watch the match from the galleries as the OCA has increased the ticket prices by nearly 1.5 times.
