IMFA organises mega health camp in Choudwar, offers free diagnostics services and medicines
In a significant act of social goodwill, the Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), organised a comprehensive specialised free health camp in Banipada Panchayat of Choudwar, Cuttack.
The event successfully offered medical consultations to approximately 400 individuals, along with the distribution of complimentary medications. The camp, held on the premises of Balunkeswar Vidyapitha, brought together medical professionals specialising in paediatrics, general medicine, and gynaecology. They provided a range of medical consultations and advice to attendees.
The health camp was inaugurated by Niranjan Sahu, Human Resource Officer, joined by Abhishek Ghosh, Public Relations Officer, and Manas Ranjan Pradhan.
Prominent figures such as Sujit Kumar Mishra, General Manager at IMFA, and Zilla Parishad member Jyotsna Rani Subudhiray were also in attendance. Meanwhile, IMFA’s Deputy General Manager Dhrubacharan Rout supervised the camp.
Best known for its humanitarian activities, the Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation organise such mega health camps every year to provide health benefits-deprived people with free medicines. The camp underscores the commitment to community service exhibited by the foundation and its collaborators, indicating a positive impact on local healthcare accessibility.
“Patients got free treatment today and availed free medicines. So, I wholeheartedly thank IMFA authorities for selecting our panchayat for the mega health camp. People, who are often deprived of treatment, got free medicines today, thanks to IMFA. It has always come forward to help us in development works,” a local said.
IMFA, General Manager, Manas Ranjan Pradhan said, “We have organised a mega health camp on the request of Banipada gram panchayat sarpanch as this area lacks basic health facilities. We have organised the health camp at Sri Sri Balunkeswar Vidyapitha with the support of Padmini Healthcare. Skin specialists, orthopaedics, gynaecologists, medicine and many other doctors attended the patients. All the patients were offered free diabetes, BP and other tests. The patients were also given free medicines.”
