Archana Nag, the prime accused in the sensational sextortion case that shook the political corridors of Odisha, has aims to become a lawyer.

As per reports she will be taking her integrated law programme semester soon. The arrested accused had sought permission to apply for the integrated law semester examination and was granted the same by the JMFC court in Bhubaneswar.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) which is currently probing the money laundering allegations against Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand has submitted a 2241-page chargesheet in Bhubaneswar Sessions Court.

In the chargesheet, it was mentioned that Archana blackmailed film producer Akshay Parija with the help of her associate Shradhanjali. The chargesheet also mentioned about Archana blackmailing a Nayagarh-based political leader and businessman.

On the other hand the session’s court has sought a status report on the digital evidences from the forensic lab.

The Khandagiri police in Bhubaneswar had sent the digital evidences to the forensic lab for recovery. Though the lab had sent the evidences to ED in two separate batches, the central probe agency had expressed its displeasure and mentioned in the chargesheet that the lab failed to provide the exact evidences sought by them.
