Many high-profile people linked to Raja Chakra, nobody will be spared: Odisha Law Minister

Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Friday revealed that several influential figures are linked to BJD leader Raja Chakra, who has recently been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in a major transport scam.

Addressing the media, the Law Minister said that a detailed investigation is underway while assuring that no one involved in the scam will be spared.

"Whoever is connected to this case will not be exempted. The law will take its own course, and all individuals involved will be held accountable," said Harichandan.

The Law Minister’s statements aligns with remarks made earlier by Badri Patra, further strengthening speculation that the case involves several high-profile personalities.

Government’s Firm Stand on Corruption:

The Law minister emphasized that no one will be shielded, regardless of their position or influence. The Odisha government is committed to ensure legal action against all individuals who will be found guilty.

Authorities are also investigating the role of people under whose instructions Raja Chakra worked and amassed huge assets. Such people will also be brought under the purview of the investigation, he said.

As the investigation expands, more names may come under scrutiny. The government has reiterated its commitment to transparency and justice, assuring that strict measures will be taken against those involved in financial misconduct.

On Thursday, senior leader Badri Patra stated that Raja Chakra received full backing from the erstwhile district administration during the previous government.

“The district police operated under Raja Chakra's guidance. It is insufficient to apprehend only one individual; involvement of the former Collector and SP should not be overlooked,” Patra alleged.
