One person died while three others sustained critical injuries after a group clash broke out at Digapahandi area in Ganjam district on Friday. As per initial reports, the clash was reported between two families at Sahadev Tikarpada village over suspected past rivalry.
However, exact reason that triggered the clash between the two groups was not immediately ascertained. While one person died in the fierce clash, at least three others were left with injuries. All the three injured were initially rushed to Digapahandi community health centre (CHC). Later, one of the injured was shifted to the district headquarters hospital after his condition deteriorated.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the incident.
