According to sources, in the robbery that was executed in less than four minutes, four unidentified assailants looted the jewellery store in Harichandanpur, threatening its staff at gunpoint and making off with gold ornaments and cash.

Wearing helmets to conceal their identities, the armed lootera gang had entered the store, immediately pulled out firearms, and ordered staff to fill bags with gold jewellery. When some employees hesitated, two of the employees were physically assaulted by the robbers to speed up compliance.

The dramatic robbery, captured on CCTV footage, has shocked viewers and police alike. One of the criminals can be seen climbing onto the upper shelves to snatch additional cash stored away. The robbers executed their plan and escaped the scene very swiftly.

They arrived and fled on two motorcycles, indicating a planned and coordinated operation. The footage, now in possession of the police, clearly shows the intensity and speed of the crime.

Despite having clear visuals, the police have not yet apprehended any suspects. The delay in arrests has drawn concern from locals and business owners in the area.

Local police say an intensive manhunt is underway, and they are analysing the CCTV footage frame by frame to identify the culprits.

This robbery adds to a growing list of high-stakes crimes targeting jewellery shops across Odisha, prompting calls for tighter security and quicker police response.
