A gas cylinder explosion blew off the roof of a kitchen and left one youth critically injured in Bagda village under the Digapahandi block of Ganjam district. The mishap took place while the cylinder was being connected for cooking.

A gas cylinder explosion blew off the roof of a kitchen and left one youth critically injured in Bagda village under the Digapahandi block of Ganjam district. The mishap took place while the cylinder was being connected for cooking.

The blast ripped through the house of a villager, completely blowing off the roof of her kitchen. The resident has been identified as Dolly Panigrahi. The force of the explosion also affected nearby houses and left a youth from the neighbouring household severely injured.

Cylinder Burst During Installation

Reports said Dolly had recently brought a new gas cylinder and had called the neighbour to assist in fixing it. While he was installing the cylinder, it reportedly exploded and caused the accident.

Victim Shifted To Berhampur

The injured youth, who sustained critical injuries in the blast, was shifted to Berhampur for advanced medical treatment. His condition remains serious.
