Former Governor of Odisha, Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare passed away. He was 95. He served as the Governor of Odisha from 2007 till 2013.
As the news broke, condolence messages started pouring in.
Governor of Odisha Raghubar Das expressed his grief in a post shared by the Raj Bhavan.
“The Hon'ble Governor has expressed deep grief over the demise of the former Governor of Odisha and prominent politician Shri Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare. He prayed to Lord Shri Jagannath for the repose of his immortal soul and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family,” read the post in Odia by the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also expressed his deep condolences in an X post.
“I am deeply saddened to hear about the demise of former Odisha Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare. His contribution during his tenure as Governor was very significant. I pray for the eternal peace of Bhandare's soul and express my condolences to his family and friends,” read the CM’s post.
