The killer bear
In a commendable display of bravery, a forest official fought off a killer bear in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. A video of the violent battle has now been going viral on social media platforms. According to sources, the incident occurred in the village of Dangarkata, where a bear attacked a group, leading to the deaths of two individuals and critically injuring a forest worker.
On Saturday morning, the bear attacked a man identified as Suklal Dhara, resulting in his death. On being informed by locals, forest personnel rushed to the village and tried to retrieve the body.
However, the bear which was hiding nearby launched another attack, this time on a forest worker Narayan Yadav. However, Yadav managed a fight back and save himself. A chilling video of the fight off between Yadav and the wild bear, recorded on camera, has been going viral after it was shared on social media platforms.
However, Yadav sustained critical injuries in the attack. He was rescued in critical condition and shifted swiftly to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care where his condition remains critical.
The fight did not end there. The killer bear once again attacked another person and killed him too, spreading terror in the region. Terrified, forest officials had to use a JCB machine to safely recover the bodies from the forest.
Meanwhile, the Forest Department is actively monitoring the movement of the bear and advised local residents to avoid entering the forest until the situation is deemed secure.
