It is now almost 12 days that the Crime Branch team is camping in Bolangir district to probe the mega fake certificate case to secure postal jobs in the district. Even though Bolangir police had busted the racket and arrested 19 persons, including the prime accused Manoj Mishra, the Crime Branch is yet to bust the entire racket after it took up the case.

Though seven persons were detained, they were released after being served with notices.

Crime Branch DSP, Debabrata Chakra said, “Our investigation is going on at a good pace. We have almost collected all evidence. We are waiting for directions for the arrests.”

According to Debabrata, the current probe centred around the fraud committed to secure postal jobs. It is pertinent to mention here that the Crime Branch had earlier informed that nearly 200 job holders were under the scanner for using fake certificates to secure jobs.

There are government employees as well among those who have produced fake certificates to get jobs.

Apart from Bolangir, Sambalpur division postal superintendent had earlier lodged complaints against six postal job aspirants at the Town Police Station for submitting fake certificates.
