Explosion at Jindal Steel plant in Angul; no casualty reported
An explosion in the blast furnace in the Jindal Steel and Power plant in Angul was reported on Monday evening.

As per reports, it was around 7.30 PM when an explosion in the blast furnace of the Steel and Power plant occurred, triggering fear among the workers.

Soon, plant officials and the firefighting team reached the spot. Meanwhile, the plant authorities issued a press note informing that no worker had been injured in the mishap.
The reason behind the mishap can be ascertained only after the expert team submits its report, it said.
