A huge wall painting of lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadara, and Devi Subhadra was created by some former students of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Berhampur in a bid to promote the reusability of plastic materials.
The 'Divine Wall' was created on the school premises using over 5,500 bottle caps. The former students along with the existing students worked for two months to create the beautiful wall painting of the Holy Trinity.
The painting has received widespread appreciation and also clinched national and international awards.
“As we work for climate action, we used plastic bottles to create this painting in a bid to spread the message of reusing plastic in a creative manner. We collected the plastic bottles from the sea beaches. It took us around two months to complete this painting,” said Bharat Gaurav Das, the district coordinator of Satwik Soul Foundation.
The principal of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya said, “We are extremely proud of our students as their efforts brought glory to our school. I am thankful to the students for their tireless efforts to spread a beautiful message through the wall painting.”
