Taking an innovative step in the field of education, students of BOSE Engineering College in Cuttack have developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) teacher.

The AI teacher has been designed with PI Robot model to enhance the learning experience for students.

As per reports, the model has been developed by three students from the Electronics and Telecommunication Department of the college. The development marks a significant advancement in the integration of artificial intelligence in education.

The students have reportedly taken around six months time to develop the Artificial Intelligence-based model that gives correct and immediate answers to different questions. The AI teacher has been kept inside the innovation centre of the BOSE campus.

“We took inspiration from our principal who asked us to prepare an AI teacher by showing us a model from Kerala. After watching the model, we were confident that we could develop a better robot than that one. We took around four months to research and developed the model in around six months. The model has been fully manufactured here,” said a student who was part of the team who developed the AI model.

“We have done the complete coding by ourselves to control Artificial Intelligence. As we don’t have a server, we have used a server of ChatGPT as storage. All other things including the software and hardware have been developed by us here,” said another student.

“Kudos to the students for developing such a brilliant model. They have developed this advanced AI platform. They have done the coding and decoding by themselves and used the smart power management system in the model. However, future scope is there as neck, eye, lips and leg movements will be further developed by the students in the near future,” said a teacher of the institution.

“We are currently focusing on project-based learning. This is the age of AI. Without AI, we can’t survive. We have a notion that AI is taking away jobs. However, we are encouraging students to create new jobs as AI is also capable of creating some new jobs,” said BOSE Principal Hrusikesh Mohanty.
