Subhadra Yojana
The RN Pali police in Rourkela detained a man for allegedly selling duplicate forms of the SUBHADRA Yojana and charging money from applicants for uploading the same on the scheme’s portal. His computer has also been seized, it was learnt. The matter came to the fore after the nodal officer for the scheme carried out an inspection and detected the irregularities at the shop at Ganesh Market in the city.
The Odisha government has directed collectors to take stringent action against those collecting money and indulging in unscrupulous activities. The Women and Child Development department has asked collectors to initiate action against people demanding money for Subhadra Yojana application forms and related activities.
Meanwhile, the state government has decided to launch an awareness campaign to disseminate information on Subhadra Yojana. Union Tribal Affairs Minister and Sundargarh MP Jual Oram flagged off a fleet of 11 decorated vehicles to raise awareness about the scheme across the district.
On the other hand, Deputy CM Pravati Parida asked women not to hurry as there is no last date to apply for benefits under Subhadra Yojana.
“Enrolment will continue till all eligible women are included,” she said amid the rush of people at common service centres for correction in Aadhaar cards.
