‘Drunk’ IT women’s late night drama on Bhubaneswar streets leaves locals furious
Bhubaneswar witnessed high drama late on Wednesday night after three young women created a ruckus near a hotel, eventually landing in trouble with the police. The incident unfolded in the Nayapalli area, where the women were reportedly found driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a disturbance in a public place.
According to police sources, the trio, who are said to be working in the IT sector, were allegedly consuming alcohol and misbehaving near the hotel premises. Their actions drew public irk, following which the Nayapalli police intervened. Upon conducting checks, the police confirmed that the women were driving under the influence.
The vehicle they were using was seized, and a fine of Rs 10,000 was imposed under drunk driving regulations. The three women were subsequently detained at Nayapalli police station for questioning. They were later released after initial legal formalities.
Witnesses claimed that the women were not only driving while intoxicated but were also involved in unruly behaviour, sparking chaos in the public area.

No official reaction has yet been received from either the police or the women involved regarding the allegations of public misconduct.
