DA case: GPH Asst Engineer under Odisha Vigilance scanner, Rs 1.80 cr bank deposits detected

The Odisha Vigilance Department sleuths on Wednesday carried out raids on the properties linked to Kishore Chandra Sahu, an Assistant Engineer of the General Public Health (GPH) Section, Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi district.

The raids are currently underway in connection with the allegations of the acquisition of disproportionate assets by Sahu. As per sources, the Vigilance department has found bank deposits of Rs 1.80 crore and further searches are on.

Senior Vigilance officers informed that simultaneous searches are being conducted at three places in Kalahandi district.

A team comprising one Additional SP, three DSPs, four inspectors and other staff are conducting the searches on the basis of warrants issued by Special Vigilance Judge, Bhawanipatna.
