Corruption in OPSC, OSSC, OSSSC exams alleged; candidates demand CBI probe
The Students Against Corruption (SAC) body on Monday demanded a CBI probe into alleged corruption and irregularities in the government examination recruitment system of Odisha.
The group alleged that corruption and discrepancy in the recently held ARI, Amin, and forest guard posts caused unjustified disqualification of over 300 candidates. Additionally, it stated that a clash of four major exams on the same dates this month has left aspirants in distress and brought forward the negligence of the governing bodies.
Corruption Allegations Rock Recruitment
The Students Against Corruption has demanded a CBI probe stating that there is ample evidence revealing irregularities in exams conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), and the Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).
It claimed that 377 names were removed from merit lists following claims of undeserving candidates securing positions through fraudulent means. It also alleged corruption in the ARI, Amin, and Forest Guard examinations in the state and noted that even after the disqualifications, the newly revised merit list, which was supposed to be released, has not been published yet.

Odisha CM's Response Urged:
“Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi acknowledged systemic corruption in the assembly including instances of government jobs being sold. However, no high-level investigation has been conducted so far," alleged SAC spokesperson Bibhuti Bhushan Mohapatra.
Mohapatra further said, "We demand his response and seek an immediate CBI inquiry or an independent probe by a retired judge.”
