Unseasonal rainfall devastates Odisha’s crop yield
Odisha is grappling with severe agricultural disruptions as unseasonal rainfall has devastated crops across the State. A thorough assessment of the damage is scheduled for completion by December 30.
The findings will be pivotal as Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will announce compensation measures to aid the distressed farmers.
The intended compensation will be provided through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring that the prompt relief reaches the farmers directly into their bank accounts. This decision emerged following a significant meeting convened under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi at the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
