Community support staff during their protest in Bhubaneswar
Community support staff across Odisha, including CRPs, Bank Mitras, MBKs and Pranimitras, are set to receive their overdue salaries spanning the last 10 months.
This significant update was confirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Friday, highlighting the government’s promise to address these pending dues since April of the prior year.
CM Majhi has announced Lakhpati Didi Assistant Scheme under which more than 62,000 community workers in the State will be benefitted.
Though the previous BJD government had assured the Community support staff to extend their contracts, nothing was done. As a result, they had staged a protest in Bhubaneswar.
Officials assert this move will not only boost the morale of these community staff but also strengthen support mechanisms within rural regions.
