Commissionerate police conducts flag march in Bhubaneswar

In a bid to ensure a disciplined and peaceful Durga puja celebration, the Commissionerate Police along with two companies of BSF conducted a flag march in some sensitive areas of Bhubaneswar on Monday.

The flag march was conducted under the stewardship of Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra in Laxmisagar and Jharpara areas.

According to Mishra, the flag march was conducted to showcase the preparedness of police to meet any kind of eventuality to ensure the safety and security of people during the festivities. He also warned anti-social elements of stern actions in case of any indiscipline activities.

“We will ensure a sense of security to the people of Bhubaneswar during Durga Puja. We will also prevent any kind of indiscipline activities. We are issuing a warning to the anti-social elements through this flag march that any kind of indiscipline activities by them will not be tolerated at all,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra.

“Stern actions will be taken against the miscreants involved in any kind of indiscipline activities,” he added.
