Child Welfare Committee, Rayagada
A class seven schoolgirl from the Kalyansinghpur area in Rayagada district was found pregnant. As per reports, after the incident came to light, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) conducted a thorough investigation, involving detailed questioning of the minor.
The CWC, which is dedicated to safeguarding child welfare, has launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident. During the process, the involvement of a minor boy from Rayagada Sadar block was found.
The Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee has assured that all aspects of the case will be examined thoroughly as part of the investigation.
"The inquiry into the incident is currently in progress. Detailed information about the incident could only be divulged after the completion of the inquiry," said CWC Chairperson Bidulata Huika.

Earlier in February this year, an inquiry was ordered after a class 10 student gave birth to a baby at the hostel of a state-run residential school in Malkangiri district.
The girl delivered a baby girl following her return to the hostel after appearing in the board examination.
The girl and the baby were quickly taken to the sub-divisional hospital in Chitrakonda, and later transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital in Malkangiri.
