As per sources, the deprived beneficiaries so far can submit their grievances through the toll-free helpline number, and they will be provided assistance under the scheme in the next phases if they are found eligible. The beneficiaries who have so far only received the first instalment under the scheme can also submit their allegations by calling the toll-free helpline number.
Notably, Subhadra Yojana emphasises the state government's dedication to enhance women's financial independence across Odisha. The scheme aims to empower women economically, allowing them to achieve self-sufficiency.
Subhadra Yojana, inaugurated on 17th September 2024 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a flagship initiative aimed at empowering over 10 million women aged between 21 and 60.
Under this scheme, each eligible woman receives Rs 10,000 annually, disbursed in two instalments of Rs 5,000 each, amounting to Rs 50,000 over five years.
The funds are directly transferred into Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, promoting financial inclusion.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of Odisha with an annual family income not exceeding Rs 2.5 lakh, and should not be government employees, income-tax payers, or beneficiaries receiving over Rs 1,500 per month from other government schemes.
