CDPO 'misbehaves, hurls abuses, shoves' clerk in Odisha; video goes viral 

High drama unfolded on Saturday at the Child Development Project Office at Dabugaon in Nabarangpur when the child development project officer (CDPO) allegedly misbehaved with a female head clerk and pushed her from her seat. 

Dabugaon CDPO Gitanjali Maharana had a quarrel with head clerk Santoshi Mishra over some issue. The scene turned ugly when the CDPO allegedly lost her cool and pushed the clerk from her seat. Though the staff present at the office tried to stop Maharana from misbehaving with Mishra, she paid no heed to them and went on hurling abuses at the head clerk. 

Someone at the office shot the entire incident and uploaded the video on social media platform following which the video went viral. 

“She (CDPO) said I had taken part in a strike, so today will be marked as leave. It was when I told her that I had come to office and signed on the attendance register as well, she pushed me from my chair. She even raised her hand at me,” alleged Mishra. 

However, CDPO Maharana denied the allegation of pushing the head clerk from her seat. 

“Upon my return from area visit, she asked me about her salary issue in a raised voice. As a meeting was underway, I asked her to leave the room. I didn’t push her,” the CDPO said.
