Car plunges into pond in Jharsuguda, no casualties reported

A car lost control and plunged into a pond near Grindola village under Banjari panchayat in Lakhanpur block of Jharsuguda. The mishap sparked panic in the area, but fortunately, both occupants of the vehicle managed to escape unharmed.

The accident occurred on Saturday and caused panic in the locality. Both occupants of the vehicle managed to escape without injuries.

Occupants Swim To Safety

Reports suggest that as the car plunged into the water, the two occupants acted swiftly. They rolled down the window, swam out, and saved themselves, preventing what could have been a tragic accident. Vehicle Lost Control On Embankment

The car was on its way from Jayabudia towards Tumlia, passing through Grindola. While moving along the embankment of the Grindola pond, the driver reportedly lost control, causing the car to veer off course and fall into the pond. The sudden loss of balance on the narrow stretch of road led to the mishap.

Car Retrieved With Villagers’ Help

Following the accident, villagers rushed to the spot and extended immediate help. With their assistance, a JCB machine was deployed to recover the submerged vehicle from the pond. The operation drew several onlookers from the village, who gathered to witness the rescue effort.
