Borewell mishap: Rescued infant girl named Bijayini, 21st-day rituals observed at VIMSAR 

The baby, named Bijayini, is recuperating at the SNCU of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR).

The 21st-day ritual of the baby girl, who was rescued from an abandoned borewell in a forested area of Sambalpur, was celebrated at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, on Monday. The baby, named Bijayini, is recuperating at the SNCU of the VIMSAR. 

As per reports, the two-day-old baby was found dumped in the borewell at Laripalli under Rengali block on December 12. The district administration with the help of the Fire Department personnel and ODRAF managed to rescue the girl after an 8-hour-long exercise.
