Body of GRS found on roadside in Sambalpur, family alleges murder

The body of a youth was found under mysterious circumstances near Ghosaramal under Rairakhol police limits in Sambalpur district on Thursday. 

The deceased has been identified as Dinabandhu Das, a Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) of Ghosaramal Panchayat. 

As per reports, locals spotted the body of Das along with his motorcycle on Ghosaramal -Jhatakatimala roadside.

On being informed, police along with a scientific team reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter. 

Meanwhile, the relatives of Das alleged murder. “He (Das) went to Ghosaramal panchayat for GRS work. We tried to contact him when he didn't return for long, but failed. We then started searching for him. Later, we came to know about his body being found on the roadside. Somebody has murdered Dinabandhu and we want the culprit to be arrested,” said brother of Das.

“A scientific team and a dog squad have reached the spot and a probe is on into the matter,” said Rairakhol SDPO Prashant Meher.
