More than a hundred BJP leaders and workers on Friday laid siege to Salepur police station demanding action against the culprits who attacked their election agent and a worker on voting day.

According to the agitating workers, on the polling day, BJP’s election agent Sanjay Rout and another worker Abhisekh Panda had been attacked murderously at booths nos 184 and 185 under Salepur police limits.

They called off their agitation after Cuttack’s Additional Superintendent of Police K P Pattanayak promised them that the culprits would be arrested.
