On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Foundation Day, the Odisha unit of the party organised a grand event at the state headquarters in Bhubaneswar, marked by celebration, reflection, and a renewed commitment to public service on Sunday.
In a heartfelt address, BJP Odisha President Manmohan Samal expressed deep gratitude to the people of Odisha for their unwavering support, blessings, and faith in the party's mission and leadership.
Samal highlighted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has not only transformed Indian politics but has also emerged as the largest political party in the world, dedicated to the service of the people.
“The BJP is serving the nation as the No. 1 political party globally, thanks to the leadership of our Prime Minister and the tireless efforts of lakhs of karyakartas. The love, support, and blessings of the people have been instrumental in taking our party forward,” Samal said.
The Odisha BJP president acknowledged the significant growth of the party in Odisha, revealing that the BJP has now crossed a record membership figure of over 40 lakh in the state. This milestone, he stated, reflects the growing trust and belief of the people of Odisha in the BJP’s vision and policies. The party has now set an ambitious target to double this membership within the current year, further strengthening its presence in every block and panchayat across the state.
The Foundation Day event witnessed participation from several senior BJP leaders and supporters.
Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP’s Odisha in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar were present as chief guests and addressed the gathering.
In their speeches, they applauded the dedication of party workers and reaffirmed the BJP’s resolve to build a stronger, more developed Odisha rooted in the ideals of nationalism, inclusive growth, and good governance.
