BJP MP Mamata Mohanta and BJD MLA Gautam Buddha Das
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Mamata Mohanta has launched a scathing attack by alleging that Raja Chakra, who is now under EOW scanner, became powerful in mineral-rich Keonjhar district due to BJD leaders Bobby Das and VK Pandian.
She questioned how Raja Chakra gained such immense influence in the mineral-rich Keonjhar district and asserted that in the CM Mohan Majhi government, anyone involved in corruption would face strict action.
“There was influence of Raja Chakra and many are saying that this was due to Bobby Das and Pandian. At present, a full-fledged inquiry is underway and anybody found indulging in corruption will face consequences in the Mohan Majhi government,” said Mohanta.

Reacting to Mamata Mohanta’s accusations, BJD MLA Gautam Buddha Das stated that an investigation is already underway. He assured that whoever is found guilty, irrespective of their position, will face legal consequences as per law.
This political exchange comes amid rising tensions between the opposition BJD and ruling BJP, with corruption allegations taking center stage in Odisha’s political landscape.
Authorities from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Special Task Force (STF) recently conducted raids at multiple locations linked to Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Raja Chakra.
Multiple locations associated with Raja Chakra throughout prominent mining belts in the state, including Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, and Gopalpur in Brahmapur were raided by EOW teams. The probe also led to an extensive 11-hour interrogation of the leader, formally known as Soumyashankar Chakra.
