In Odisha, 57 railway stations, including Bhubaneswar, have been earmarked for redevelopment under this scheme, with an estimated investment of Rs 3,000 crore.
Key Upgrades At Bhubaneswar Railway
Enhanced Passenger Amenities: The station will feature improved waiting halls, upgraded toilet facilities, and the installation of lifts and escalators to ensure seamless movement across platforms.
Improved Traffic Circulation: Redesigning station access points and circulating areas aims to facilitate smoother vehicular and pedestrian flow, reducing congestion during peak hours.
Inter-Modal Integration: Efforts will be made to integrate various modes of transportation, including local buses, taxis, and auto-rickshaws, providing passengers with convenient and efficient transit options.
