Putting an end to speculations, Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Director Prasanna Pradhan on Wednesday clarified that flights from Bhubaneswar to Dubai have not been suspended.

Addressing recent rumours, he confirmed that the service is fully operational and continues to connect Odisha with the Gulf nation.

According to the Director, flights from Bhubaneswar to Dubai are operating three days a week, providing regular connectivity for travellers and businesses alike. Besides Dubai, international services from Bhubaneswar are also running to Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Bangkok, further strengthening the state’s global air links.

On the domestic front, Bhubaneswar airport currently handles flights to 30 different destinations across India, making it one of the busiest and most connected hubs in eastern India.

Looking ahead, Pradhan announced that flights to Rangeilunda are likely to commence either by the end of this year or in the early months of next year, expanding connectivity for southern Odisha and neighbouring regions.

The clarification has come as a relief to passengers and travel operators, as Dubai is a key route for both tourism and trade. The continuation of services ensures uninterrupted connectivity for Odia expatriates and business travellers who frequently use this route.
