To improve connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the work on the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Metro Rail Project will continue, said Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushnachandra Mohapatra on Tuesday.
The state’s budget condition will be analysed and if required, help from the central government will be sought, said Mohapatra.
“The Metro train project has been given to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. We will discuss how the work will proceed in the coming rainy season. We will also analyse the condition of the state’s budget. If required, we will seek help from the central government. Since a double engine government is here and the Prime Minister has a special liking for Odisha, we believe, the central government will offer assistance for the development in the state,” added Mohapatra.
