BPIA, Bhubaneswar
The DigiYatra facility was formally introduced at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Bhubaneswar on Friday.
With the launch of this facility, the journey will be hassle-free and a passenger won’t have to stand in queue for hours anymore. It would offer contactless entry to passengers at the airport.
Informing about the DigiYatra facility, BPIA Director Prasanna Pradhan, said, “To avail of the DigiYatra facility, passengers have to download the DigiYatra App from Play Store. Then they have to integrate AADHAAR credentials. On the day of travel, they have to upload the boarding pass. At the gate, they will easily access the airport using registered facial biometric data.”
If a passenger has the DigiYatra App, s/he can use it at the airport gate, security check and boarding gate without needing to carry travel documents. It will ensure contactless and seamless processing for passengers using their facial features uploaded.
