The devastating train accident and the subsequent disruption of train services have affected the lives of scores of people who have lost their loved ones. The Odisha government on Sunday informed that so far 275 persons have died in the tragic train accident in Balasore.

In view of the disruption of train services, the Odisha government today announced to provide free bus service to Kolkata for the stranded passengers. The free bus service can be availed from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, tweeted CMO.

 

As per official sources, the entire cost will be borne from Chief Minister's Relief Fund and the arrangement will continue till restoration of normal train services on the Balasore route. Daily around 50 buses will provide transport services to Kolkata from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who reached Bhubaneswar today, informed that an expert doctors’ team from Delhi has already reached Odisha to extend all possible help for the treatment of the injured passengers of the train tragedy.

Earlier, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had also briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the current situation and the ongoing measures undertaken by the state government for the treatment of the injured persons.
