Balasore FM student death case
In the investigation of the tragic self-immolation case involving a female student of Fakir Mohan College in Balasore, the Crime Branch is rigorously interrogating the two students — Shubhra Sambit Nayak and Jyoti Prakash Bishwal — who are currently in custody.
The duo has been taken on a three-day remand for questioning.
Two officials from the State Forensic Science Laboratory have also joined the interrogation process. The Crime Branch team visited Balasore Jail, where the questioning took place in the presence of two lawyers on Tuesday.
Sources indicate that the Crime Branch recorded the voice of both accused during the session.
However, the Crime Branch has not yet issued any official statement regarding these developments.
The ongoing investigation into the tragic self-immolation case at FM college has taken a significant turn, with the emergence of new CCTV footage that could hold vital clues.

The footage, recorded at 10:44 AM on July 12, reportedly shows the victim riding a bicycle in the direction of a petrol pump, just hours before she set herself ablaze.
The footage was captured from a CCTV installed along the route between FM College and Chandipur. The new CCTV evidence could play a pivotal role in unearthing the truth behind the incident and delivering justice to the victim.
