Chinmay Kumar Sahu
In a tale of dedication and determination, Chinmay Kumar Sahu, a resident of Tunupar village under Lakshmipu block in Korapur district, has successfully cracked the prestigious Odisha Civil Services (OCS) examination-2022 conducted by the Orissa Public Service Commission (OPSC), the result of which was declared on Saturday.
Chinmay’s journey was full of struggle and he secured rank 90 by preparing for the prestigious examination through YouTube.
“My journey was full of ups and downs. I have secured 90th rank on my third attempt. I started my preparation after my graduation some six to seven years back. I went to Delhi to take coaching. I was posted in Koraput as an Assistant Labour Officer last year after securing the 188th rank. Then it was a huge challenge for me to properly balance between job life and preparation,” said Chinmay.
“I tried my best to prepare well during my holidays. Mainly I was preparing at night. It was mentally a challenging task to balance between job and preparation. I was reading for seven to eight hours per day. Apart from basic studies, I was maximizing my preparation through YouTube videos and visiting other websites,” he further said.
“The government schemes should be properly implemented at the grassroots level. Apart from that, education should be rapidly spread for the development of the country. I will try to work in the field of education, empowerment and proper implementation of government schemes. If one prepares with true determination, discipline and punctuality and reads with proper strategy, he will definitely be able to crack OPSC,” he added.
